First off, I'm still around!  Yay!

Secondly, I finally was able to find employment.  I work for the bank I actually bank at, and am now part of their IT team.  Even though I'm with a team this time around, it will still be a challenging job.  I have plenty to learn, and I have a lot of catching up to do on security in general.  Still, I am happy with it, and I get to work with some great employees.

I'm still trying to work with my music, too.  With this new job, it will be a lot tougher to find the extra energy to generate creativity, but I don't want to give up.  Hopefully, I'll have another song for you guys to listen to at some point (one is in the works, and it's a very chill piece).

Of course, I hope to make some more PIRLs too!

Hey guys, it's been awhile, hasn't it?

Yeah, I realize just how inactive I've been.  Work has really kept me busy.

Until a few days ago.

Due to my stupid infringement on church policy, I was let go from my position as the IT guy.  Needless to say, I was upset, but not at them.  It was all my fault, so it's been too easy to beat myself up over it.  I'm doing a lot better now that I've had time to recuperate.

I've been doing a lot of thinking on where to go from here.  Jobs in my field are not plentiful in this town, so if I plan to stay in this field, I may have to move to get a job.  But that's where my thoughts began to wonder a bit...

I have always been a big musician at heart, and I have wondered if I should work in that field somehow.  I've dabbled in FL Studio a bit (just like I did with GIMP), and I have seriously began to think on maybe making a career out of it.

I know it's not much to listen to, but I have made a song I'd like to share with you guys.  I'm reminded of how basic my first PIRLs were when I first started making them:

I may not be able to do much right now, but I feel if I work hard, I could make this work, just as I did with my PIRLs.

Today made for an... interesting birthday (for the lack of a better word) for me.  I ended up having a sick stomach for most of the day, so work was pretty tough.  I had to stick it out to finish some important tasks that had to be done by today, and admittedly, there were times where I just wanted to give up and go home.

Fortunately, I made it through the day, and finished my duties.  I slept most of the evening, and got to play some of the new Diablo III expansion, so I had some fun on this tough day.

Then I log in to DeviantArt.

Seriously, you guys made my evening!  Thank you all so much for all of the birthday wishes.  They mean a lot to me, especially since I've been so inactive on DeviantArt as of late.  I really will try to get more art out as time allows, and I'm glad you guys support me even through the slow times.
